    Anyone been? Can you provide hints on best places to go,places to stay,costs,hints on ferries,looking at sailing from Italy and going mid September
    2 of us me and my wife.2 bikes.
    Looked good in Ride magazine fancy giving it a try.

      I went last year and it was a fabulous place to visit. Some fantastic roads and wonderful scenery. I went with MCI tours and we sailed from Toulon in France on an overnight crossing. If you can manage it it might be worth getting to Sardinia as well as it is only a 50 minute crossing between the two islands.

        I would second the notion of also going to Sardinia.  The northern part is white sands and clear blue water with calm coves.  Great place to enjoy the beaches.  West side and southern part of Sardinia will be cities and culture of the island.  The interior will include mountain roads and great small towns to get the real feel of the island.  Also one of the industies on the island is cork.  Be sure to see the trees and buy a few cork souvenirs.
