GTL Front Seat - No Heat
    « on: 2015-10-04 18:01:22 »
The front seat on my new-to-me GTL does not heat when the panel controls shows it should be on (At any setting, same result: 1 -5 bars, no heat). Rear seat heats just fine. The seat is an after market modification by Russell Day Long, so I think that taking it to the dealer is not a good option.

I'd like to do some trouble shooting. Does anyone have the seat pin out description, the seat wiring diagram, or a link to any helpful information?

    Thanks,
    Galen

I would just take an Ohm meter and do a resistance test.  Any resistance is good.  Zero on the meter means you have a broke wire either in the pad or in the wire leading to the pad.  I would think that the front and back pads should be similar in resistance.  Hope this helps

There are five pins in the seat connector. A diagram, or knowing what the resistances are in a known good seat would be helpful.

        Thanks
