    New member intro
    « on: 2015-12-06 10:05:46 »
    Good day all .
Coming from Croatia,Marine engineer,  205 cm or 6.8" tall ( limiting factor when looking for a new bike ) , been riding for past 30 yrs,  currently riding M1800R Intruder, but actively looking to buy 2016 GT , as i am looking for more comfort and safety than I have now . Been reading this forum and all others on the subject, and this one seems to have what i am looking for . Looking forward to friendly interactions.

Good day to you as well.

Sure you would be happy with either a GT or GTL ( at 6'8 you will need the tall seat)

        Welcome to the forum.
Best to do a test ride on both if that is possible.
I think you will be better off with a GT and the seat in the high position, but better try for yourself.
        Many safe and happy kilometers.

Thanks for the welcome. My initial wish was for new RT, but this is how i look on RT, GT and GTL , so RT went off from wish list ...Test rides just do not happen in Croatia, as they do not have test bikes even to sit on, let alone ride...

You can also get a taller wind screen.   https://www.ceebaileys.com/bmw/bmw_k1600GT_windshield.html  It will make for less wind noise and an overall better and more comfortable ride

              Welcome aboard

Yep see what you mean about the 1200 for size. You will enjoy the motor in the K16 a very sweet flexible unit.

              Cheers
