    GPS holder
    « on: 2015-12-09 09:29:34 »
Hi, is it just me or do others have the same issue?

When I want to pop the Nav V out, have to press the 'Eject' button several time till something happens, still have to drive the holder manually fully up, the button then gets stuck so when pushing the holder down it won't latch in place, have to get my fingers behind the button and release it. Quite annoying..

Had to get mine replaced under warranty within a month of buying the bike from new.

        Also had similar issues.

Occasionally I spray a bit of Wd40 in there which seems to help.

WD40 and some other silicone spray helped a bit still not great, but I'm quite disappointed considering how much this bike costs..

My, cradle acts similarly. But more importantly the connection between the GPS and the bike is intermittent. So for instance place unit in cradle, press cradle into place switch on ignition GPS does not come on ? Switch ignition on/off a few times GPS comes on. Switch ignition off GPS should disconnect but sometimes doesn't ! Driving me nuts !!
Has anybody got any. Ideas/ solutions ? Any help much appreciated. :)

AjdunnUK, have you tried cleaning the contacts on the Nav and on the cradle. This usually does the trick.

Have tried cleaning contacts no change. Have updated the unit via Garmin website. My dealer suggested swapping my 16 GB men card for 8 GB (apparently can cause issues) - no change :)
