I am from Holland and we prefer in Germany the Black Forest very much. There are lots of motorbike loving gasthof's in that area and it's really lovely for a biker to be there. As a nice example, try Gasthof Salenhof (Google). Reservations are mostly needed.

Hi, Have been to Germany on the K16 many times. My favorite area is the Hartz mountains, easily rideable from Calais in a day. Great roads and scenery with plenty of places to stay. Also Black Forest around the Triberg area and don't miss riding the B500 running South out of Baden Baden. Bavaria also good.
