Does anyone know how to get access to the air box ?? The drain pipe appeared on the floor under my gtl looks as though it has somehow snapped off, has anyone else had this happen to them ??

      hi hope this helps
      (1) remove front seat
(2)remove the black side covers it has just one screw per side
      (3) remove side tank covers then centre cover slide it back to remove
      (4) remove the 3 screws from the air box same as you would  for new air filter
after that it will then all make sense
its not to bad to do but take photos just in case

Thanks for that Steve will have a look once the bike is garages for the winter, don't venture out very often once the cold weather sets in even with heated seat and grips
Don't imagine the snapped off condensate drain pipe will be covered under warranty although can't figure out how it would have been snapped off !!!!!

has the bike been serviced recently
has the pipe falling of or has it broken parts in side if so it can be damaged ?? by doing work on the bike air box
you can get a cd manual for the bike on eBay it helps a lot

The pipe appears to have snapped off it has a solid bit inside the end.
I've had the bike all summer so hasn't been touched since I bought it guess the pipe could have been damaged during the previous service and has taken a while to work it's way off of the bike was hoping to maybe use a strong adhesive to reattach it or worst case scenario replace the air box which I guess wouldn't be a cheap option from BMW
