USB devices not recognized

My brand new K1600 GT does not recognizes the USB devices (iPod Nano, Iphone 6plus). However, I can listen these devices through the AUX connection. I changed the USB cable, and even using a brand new USB cable, the audio system doesn't recognizes them. I always get the same message: NO USB.  I read the Audio System Manual and found neither a solution nor a troubleshooting section. Can somebody help?

hi have you got the bmw  lead or a after market lead
common problem will only work with genuine part
I use the same set up

The USB cable is the genuine (original, not after the market) cable that came with the iPod and the Iphone 6 cable. Even with those cables, the NO USB message is displayed. As far as I know, BMW does not sell USB cables. If you have a link to acquire an original BMW cable, please, let me know.

try bmw part number c61.12.2.338.49 this lead plugs strait into the iPod
do not use the us lead you get with your iPod
you can then use the bikes wheel to the control iPod

hi again do not buy a after market on as it will not work on your bike I know tried gave up

Steve, thank you a lot for your excellent information. I live in Puerto Rico, which is a territory of USA. Can you provide me with a link where I can order the BMW part number that you mentioned, even though it can be located somewhere in Europe? I searched Ebay page using the item number that you provided, but it doesn't appear. I get several products, no not an specific USB cable. If you can send a link for Ebay also, I'll appreciate.

not to good on computers if you have a bmw main dealer and give them that part number its about £45.00 uk the eBay site is uk one it has 15hrs to run
