Top box plug and pin outs
    « on: 2017-03-14 21:32:00 »
    Hi.

I have just purchased a new k1600gt sport, no top box.

However I'm looking for a way to get the following power options.

    1. Perminent live 12v
    2. Switched live 12v ignition on.
    3. Negative.

I have not as yet put a multimeter on the top box plug. This is my first option, my biggest problem is I can't cut into wires due to warrentee.

    Thanks

I would go slowly with this
as the bike has a can bus system
      if the bike is new
what do you want to power up
you have (2) 12volt sockets read the book
(do not try) from the socket under the rear seat

I have so far only managed to find one power socket, the Manual only shows 1 on the farring but still refurs to sockets.

The second one is on the right hand side under the seat near the battery box.
It took me a little while to find it as well.

As said, beware of CAN bus issues but to answer your question:

              Thanks,

I ordered the y cable today, I'm just going the take the other connection direct from battery.
