    hill start asist dpoping out
    « on: 2017-12-11 18:57:48 »
hi just like to ad this I am on my 2and bike with hill start
but now winter is hear I went out this Saturday to treat m self to some new boots
I had my heated jacket and trousers on in the low setting
I use the assist even when at the lights
and it comes on but then of again shuts down
so if you have heated jacket etc.dot not rely on the hill start
its not bmw fault it puts to much load on the ecu so it switches of none accentual
    parts
    happy XMASS

How do you have your gear connected? Direct to battery or thru Canbus?

you can only connect direct to battery if you use jacket and trousers
I have tried to connect to the ex plug's
        but ecu cuts them out
if you use just the trousers it works fine and dose not cut out the hill start

Strange...i have had both the seat , grips and  jacket and gloves ( direct conbect to battery) on and have had no issues.
How old is your battery...maybe it is getting to end of life.

That's weird...next time you have it in for service I would mention it.....just a thought (not doomslaying) maybe you alternator is acting up?
Next time I'm on mine I will see if I can get mine to do it.

                Cheers

What does the voltage show when this happens, with everything on, heated jacket, gloves, grips, both seats, lights etc the voltage never drops below 13.9
