    Bike is dead
    « on: 2018-01-23 01:24:53 »
I have a 14 K1600 gtl Exclusive (keyless). Pulled into the garagea after ever the tlast ride. Been about 3 weeks since the last ride. Now, when I tried to start it, nothing happened. Red light flashes, that’s all, no lights, nothing. Checked the battery voltage, even ran a batter test. It’s fine. Anyone ever had this happen?

Now I dont know exactly how the keyless system works, so this is just an educated guess, but could your fob be out of battery, or just playing up. The BMW fob i have to my central locking plays up sometimes and doesn't work. It could be the batteries low so its working intermittently (like an old TV remote) or theres something else with it. do you have a second fob you could use? or possibly try changing the battery on it?

Again this is just a guess.

hi yes the battery do not last long
just replaced mine only a year old
the keyless works on a transponder so week voltage it stops
I would suggest you keep your emergency plastic key with you  if you have a problem just hold it by the fuel filler cap its where the transponder is located
        hope this helps
