    Replacement speakers
    « on: 2018-03-04 15:21:27 »
Hi all I have looked at previous posts about replacement speakers and this morning I looked at the right hand side speaker on my gtl 2017 model. The speaker is housed in a box with 4 screws holding it together, I removed the screws and tried to pull the housing apart, I could not pull the housing apart.Has anyone tried to do the same, and if so how did you get on?. I also noticed that the housing doesn't appear to have the smaller tweeter speaker as shown on previous post pictures.

There is some content on youtube about replacing and upgrading the GTL speakers that might be helpful

Thanks for  that I have looked at YouTube re this issue and I can only find info on the previous setup. I do find it annoying that the screws come out but the unit will just not separate.I realise that changing the speakers and maybe adding sound proofing will not make too much difference, but I would still like to try

the speakers are housed in a sealed pod to keep it waterproof
it is a waterproof glue that's holds it together  :-\
