BMW is now offering $3000 for gearbox issues.

    See Attachment.

Here is conclusive proof that BMW has tried to cover-up the gearbox/driveline issues with the K1600 series.
This is a full Non-disclosure agreement handed down by the mothership.

The recipient of this agreement had owned his K1600 for only two weeks and 1900km before it was returned to the dealership.

I know of three other K1600 owners who have taken up this cash offer (worldwide).

If you have these issues and are happy to live with them, then here is an incentive to do so.

12 month old letter.  Must be before he told us all the 1600 was being withdrawn from the NZ market.

        Who is this Tree?

Just seems like poisonous little bastard trying to upset everyone who has entered into K16 ownership and who has a personal downer on BMW to me.

Perhaps he ought to crawl under whatever rock he came from and let the rest of us enjoy what is probably the best machine currently available in the world.

He has been posting this on a lot of K1600 forums.
When you open the pdf, the personal data have been covered with white rectangles. However, with a simple drag and drop you can remove the rectangles and guess what: all the data of Mr Chris Couling appear. He keeps coming back to K1600 forums under different nicknames.
I can understand if someone is not happy with the bike. I can even understand if someone makes a personal vendetta out of it. What I don't understand is that someone keeps pestering others with his vendetta.

Are you just a bitter twisted moron ?

Or are you a well informed individual helping the wider BMW community ?

So much for the non-disclosure agreement. Will he need to pay back the cash because it is breached? BMW don't accept liability but make an ex-gratia payment. A Looooooong way short of complete withdrawal of K16s from the southern hemisphere (unless they only sold 3)

This bloke is as bad as Dr ABS Brakes/Nemezis and his campaign against the servo brakes. Hiding behind numerous identities but when asked pertinent questions either ignoring them or going off on as tangent. He would have more credibility if he was open and transparent. Personally I think it is Chris Couling who seems to have a problem with moving on.

Sounds like the best way to deal with him Steinar. if he was open and transparent then we could discuss the matter properly, but he always refuses to engage when asked straight questions.

Well if he had replied with a valid argument, he would have a point.

Due to the OP not validating any of the information he's posted, then it must be unsubstantiated rubbish............... IMHO.

Don't really need this sort of posting, as we have enough to contend with as it is.

By the way, I like my K16............ So there !
