    Corbin Seat for 16GLT
    « on: 2013-11-30 00:56:39 »
My old BMW OEM seat was so freaking uncomfortable that I took it in to an upholstery shop and had 3" gel inserted.  It still was not quite right.  Too narrow and forced me forward on the seat to the gas tank.  New story, I recently purchase a New Corbin custom seat with back rest.  It is better but is way way way way too hard and my short arms make it so I can not even rest against the back support.  Can anyone recommend a gel pad for the Corbin seat that works well?  The get seat has to not slip around and has to be wide enough to not ride the ole nut sack or make my 60 year old hemorrhoids any worse

I takes about 1,000 miles to break in a Corbin. Corbin does make a thicker back rest.

Thanks Bill.  Do you have a Corbin?  Anyway I think I will take your advice on a thicker back rest.  I've been tossing around the idea of selling the Corbin for a Russell.

I bought the Airhawk air cushion to sit on. Because you can adjust the amount of air you can get get it just right. You just place it on top of your saddle and sit on it. I did 1500 miles in three days with no discomfort using this.

Likewise I put an Airhawk seat cushion on my GTL. The great thing is you can adjust it as you wish. Took a while to get used to the floating sensation but found a little less air helped. Certainly a cheaper option!
            Just enjoy it!

My Corbin is getting more comfortable after riding for about 1000 US Miles.  I seem to mold into it and not sliding around as much.  So far I am liking it
