    Center stand dimensions
    « on: 2014-06-27 00:02:46 »
Hi, I am a newbie and am just about to my first BMW (second hand) K1600 GTLE on Saturday.

Due to limited space I want to get a bike mat turntable that I can use under the centre stand to turn it round in the garage, thing is there are two sizes. Try as hard as I might, I cannot find anywhere the width of the stand so I know which size to order for delivery Saturday.

Is anyone able to assist me please, do I need a 350mm or a 450mm?

Edge to edge its 300mm.  However, before you buy I would suggest you attempt to lift the front wheel which you will have to do to spin the bike.

Thanks for the info, good point about balancing the bike to turn, I hadn't considered this!

              Who sells it?
              Any info would be great!

Now all you have to work out is its wheelbase and its LONG.

Wheelbase is 162 cm and these things are normally 220 cm long so that shouldn't be a problem.

I found that I do not need a turntable with mine. it is pretty well balanced and just spins while on the center stand with a little effort.  I have been spinning it around for over a year now almost everyday.
