    Firmware update Navigator V
    « on: 2014-06-30 23:06:08 »
Version 2.80 is now available via Garmin Express.

Changes made from version 2.70 to 2.80:

Changed the traffic icon to better indicate the availability of traffic data.
Fixed an issue that could allow the Navigator V to be discoverable by Bluetooth without the user specifying that option.
Improved the voice command interaction between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Navigator V.
Fixed an issue that could prevent the screen brightness from being adjusted during sunrise/sunset times.
Fixed an issue with the media player search functionality.
Fixed an issue that prevented correctly displaying a value of -1 in the temperature field.
Improved the interaction between the Navigator V and Basecamp.
Enabled traffic voice prompts through a compatible headset.
        Improved software stability.

Has anyone else noticed that their Nav V now crashes regularly?
I was on The National Road Rally last night and it was a bl**dy nuisance!

Just came back from a one-week trip (>3000km). No crashes at all.

But another issue that I never noticed before:
          - started from waypoint 1 with option "avoid Autobahn/highway" off (plus "shorter time"). All ok, it took me on the highway, fastest way
          - two waypoints later, I activated that option, because I wanted to ride normal roads, not the autobahn. Still all ok.
          - then, I deactived that option again (it was raining, so I wanted the quickest way to the hotel). It still guided me along smaller roads, but avoided the autobahn even though it was the closest road

Only after I switched the device off manually and restarted completely, it took me immediately to the autobahn. Seem like it didn't "reset" the setting correctly.

Anybody else had a similiar issue?
It doesn't have to make sense. It's ok if it's just fun :-)
