    New screen ordered
    « on: 2015-03-23 23:53:27 »
Ordered one of these today to give it a go to see if it's an improvement, it's less than half the price of a CEE Bailey screen but it is thicker. Did a bit of research and despite never hearing of the company before they get very good reviews on other forums.

I'd be very interested to know how you get on with the test drive. I have a GT and experience quite a lot of buffeting and wind noise (I'm 6'2") at speed.
I was actually wondering whether the GTL has a different screen to the GT (I know the GT Sport has a different one).
Enjoy your ride tomorrow and I look forward to your update.

Thanks Andy, I know what you mean about the buffeting, I'm 6'3" and have to have the seat on the high setting and find the stock screen just too low. Touch wood this will be an improvement.

Well today wasn't the best weather for testing it, the wind was blowing from all directions so difficult to make an accurate assessment, it's certainly better than the stock screen at keeping the head wind and rain off the rider although I only had the screen raised about 20%, with the strong winds I wouldn't feel comfortable having it at its full height. I rode through a couple of showers on the return home and I was almost untouched. The screen could still benefit from a lip at the top similar to the CEE Bailey ones but at less than half the cost I can't complain too much. Marks out of ten at the moment, 7.5/10

How are you getting on with the slipstream? I am also 6ft 3in & have to have the seat on the high setting.
Was considering one of these. How does the pillion, if you ride two up, react?
Also, I see Powerbronze now do a screen for the GT, at an economical price. Anyone tried this?

The screen is great, I have the height set so I can just glance over the top, gives great weather protection in the wet. I'm not one for rapid riding but at 80 ish mph the flex is minimal/unnoticeable at the preferred height, never had the reason to put it to its full height but guess the flex would be greater. I haven't ridden any great distance with a pillion but did a 100 mile trip with daughter on the back and she made no comment about being adversely affected by the screen. I initially rated the screen at 7.5/10, that would now be 8.5/10.

Thought I would just highlight this thread again as I noticed other discussions about screens.

When I bought this screen a friend bought one also, he has sold his K so the screen is now surplus to his requirements so selling for £25.
