Just had new tyres fitted on my bike. Original tyres were stock Metzler and lasted 3000 miles so replaced with Pirelli Angel GT and it's these I've just changed - they did nearly 6000 miles and believe me when I say I ride hard and often two up. New tyres today are Pirelli again only this time around both the front and rear are A spec so will see how these cope and update you all in couple months

I am on my fourth set of Dunlop RS2. The grip is amazing. My dealer has ordered my second set of footpegs, since I am wearing them down. Nuff' said. Lasts for 10K km plus, and I ride 'em pretty hard as well.

I am very much in favour of the Pirelli Angel GT and I have used two sets of them so far. Sadly my last set were punctured on the rear with 20% of life left in them so I had to cut the price of the set of tyres by 20% to get back on budget. I fitted the Bridgestone 023's because they were on sale and put my id get right, they're now my second favourite tyre, behind Pirelli Angel but still offer good grip and predictable handling.

I have the 023 on my GT and so far am very pleased with them, not ridden in the rain yet but am off to Belgium next week so it's bound to rain then.

wonder how the PR4 compares?  I have not mounted mine yet.  I did like the PR3 over the OEM tire.

Running a Continental on the front as I couldn't get a PRoad GT 4 and have mixed feelings about them.
1- at high speed very good handling
2- at low speed very poor handling
3- slow speed very heavy steering
4- great feed back from the front

Trade off is the high speed grip on corners which I really like but the heavy steer at street speeds is a killer for me, makes U turns very hard and clunky the P Road GT 4 had great slow, med and high speed handling without the feed back if the conti

I just mounted a PR4 on the front.  WOW what a wonderful new feel of the road.  Put on 250 US Miles already and she is so smooth and turns with such control.  Compared to a metz..PR4 is 100000% percent better in handling.  I guess time will tell once I get some wear patterns worn into the tire

I like mine too but got the same mileage from both.
But the ride is better so will stick to Pr4's for now.

I hear very good things about Avon.  They have three rubber hardness areas and last longer.  hard in the center, little softer as you measure from the center outward.

Anyone try a 200/55ZR17 on the K1600GTL?  it is 10mm wider and not sure it would clear the swing-arm on the left side.  The clearance looks to be about 6mm.
