Title: Tire Pressures for K1600?
Post by: Builder on 2016-08-18 02:55:03
With just 2500 mile on Michelin tires, I am unsure if tire wear is normal? Can someone please get proper pressure for one up rider and minimal load? I purchase the bike and did not have a rider OM.

Recommende tyre pressure is always 2.9 / 2.9 bar (or 42 / 42psi). No matter what the conditions are.

My BMW dealer here in the USA says 40psi front and rear.

if you look on the left hand side just below the rear seat heater switch
there is a black box with the tyre presser on but I can tell you its 42psi or 2.9 bar  front and rear
I hope this helps

Better give your dealer a manual then because he's wrong  ;) .
Not that you'll notice the difference between 40 and 42 psi unless you're Rossi or Melandri.
